following examples of actual direct cost of a typical retail
operation. The profits are not inflated but were taken from actual
profit and loss statements using year to date figures. A Dealer’s
success depends upon the efforts put forth by the dealer, quality of
workmanship, and the business techniques used by the Dealer.
Labor - |
Cost 25% - 31% of gross sales. This
includes non revenue warranty work and training new applicators.
Average pay is $8.25 / hr. |
Hi Tech Products - |
Cost approximately 6% of gross sales. This
includes chemicals, bonnets, drive pads and wiping towels. |
Misc. Products - |
Cost approximately 2% of gross sales. This
includes laundry of bonnets, acetone, and other chemicals needed
to remove stain |
